How the Street Bet Works
A street covers three numbers in one row across the layout, such as 1, 2, and 3, or 34, 35, and 36.
Place the chip on the outside edge of the row, where the number grid meets the outside bets. One chip on that edge covers all three numbers.
Any of the three numbers wins the bet at 11 to 1.
When this bet makes sense
A street suits a player who likes a block of numbers and wants wins more often than a split gives, while keeping a payout well above the outside bets. It works for medium-length sessions where you can sit through several misses between hits. Players who follow one area of the layout, such as the rows nearest zero, can cover it with a few streets and move one row at a time. Because one chip covers the whole row, streets are also a simple way to add inside action on top of an outside bet without placing many chips.
Mistakes to avoid
- Placing the chip inside the middle number's box, which makes it a straight-up bet on that number.
- Assuming the three numbers in a street sit together on the wheel, when they are spread around it.
- Covering every street in a dozen, when the same total stake on the dozen bet pays the same amount with one placement.
