Roulette is a round-based game where players place bets before the ball lands on one wheel pocket. The winning pocket determines which bets are paid.

How a roulette round works
Choose a wheel type
European roulette has one zero. American roulette has 0 and 00.
Place chips before betting closes
Chips can go on numbers, lines, corners, rows, dozens, columns, colors, parity, or ranges.
The wheel spins
The ball lands in one pocket. That pocket determines the winning number and color.
The table is settled
Losing bets are cleared and winning bets are paid according to the payout chart.
A new round begins
Players can place new bets after the previous result is settled.
Main bet rules
- Inside bets use the numbered grid and usually pay more.
- Outside bets use larger table areas and usually hit more often.
- Winning bets are paid by payout ratio, then the original stake is returned.
- Most outside bets lose when the ball lands on 0 or 00.
What roulette rules do not do
- They do not make a number due after a streak.
- They do not change the house edge after wins or losses.
- They do not make a progression system profitable.
- They do not let bets placed after betting closes count.
Common rules questions
Can you bet on more than one thing?
Yes. Players can place multiple bets in the same round if they have enough chips.
Do colors alternate around the wheel?
